It's had a face lift and is ready for action. I'll be writing more details about my happenings here as opposed to just major news like in the past. Hope you enjoy the new design. 05.05.2010 My first album under my alias Datalove was released today. It's15 tracks which draw samples from Indian film scores, Turkish psychedelic rock, Persian funk, deep crate soul/jazz, lounge, and impossibly rare library records, all of which come together under the structure of some thick and raw beats. Also, to celebrate the release, The Strange Agency has made a special Datalove edition of their Slice iPhone app. You can download it for free at iTunes. 02.20.2010 Raphael Smarzoch did an hour long feature about Quiet Design on Germany's WDR3 Radio called Guitar 3.0. The feature focuses on our Quiet Design release, 'Spectra: Guitar in the 21st Century' and has samples of the release and interviews with me, Tetuzi Akiyama, Erdem Helvacioglu, and my Quiet Design co-partner Mike Vernusky. It's all overdubbed in German, and you can check it out at WDR3. 01.12.2010 Tobias over at Tokafi.com has written a lovely in-depth feature on my album, 'Hearing is Forgetting the Name of the Thing One Hears'. 12.01.2009 My album, 'Hearing is Forgetting the Name of the Thing One Hears is now available. Inspired by light artist Robert Irwin, It's a mesmeric, post-structuralist electronic work which explores my new approach to composing self-organizing structures which use set pitch classes, physical models and a touch of chance. Hearing is Forgetting the Name of the Thing One Hears is now available. |
